To avoid such surprises, you must: 1. Remove the remnants of the old finish. 2. Putty the walls and wait until the putty dries. 3. Prime the wall with a deep (!) penetration primer, best of all with a special “Water Stop” composition from Silk Plaster or CERESIT CT-17 in 2-3 layers. Each layer should be allowed to dry for about 3 hours. 4. When the primer dries, you need to paint the wall with white water-dispersion paint also in 2-3 layers. 5. After the paint has dried, you can start applying liquid wallpaper. It is better to do this with a plastic rather than a metal spatula to avoid oxidation of the composition.

Anyone can handle the application of silk plaster, but still the process of work is not so simple. Firstly, as already mentioned, the walls need to be properly prepared, and secondly, you will have to tinker a lot before you can apply and distribute the mass evenly. Therefore, the first steps should be taken in places that are not too noticeable, for example, behind the door or where the cabinet will stand.
Unfortunately, many reviews say that if a cat lives in the house, then it is better to refuse liquid wallpaper. Pets are too fond of sharpening their claws on the coating and climbing the walls to the very ceiling.

What wallpaper designs are there? In the store you can choose the material from more than 100 different shades, while it can be:

One-color, multi-color, granular (interspersed with decorative additives);
Smooth, large or small relief.

Application: Liquid wallpaper is applied according to the principle of plaster. The mixture is diluted with warm clean water, then evenly distributed over the surface with a trowel. The work process is so safe and simple that even its owner can participate in the repair of the nursery.

Tip 3. To increase the moisture resistance and anti-vandal properties of silk plaster, cover it with a matte varnish

Tip 4. Keep in mind that the longer you stir the mixture, the less embossed the coating will be.
